The Walk of Love

Our Walk of Love starts at the campsite, so you can be sure to walk in love with family and friends, as you switch into festival mode!

It’s a short, scenic walk, so bring good shoes.

On the walk you’ll find a whole lotta trees and our popular interactive music space, if your child likes to make a noise in nature – we think you’ll like it here. It’s also a great spot to take lunch away from the bustle.

Once you land in The Walk of Love main area, you will find our Bar – where you can experience the highly top secret: Magic of Science Show, watch a gunge show, comedy performances, join an evening Ceilidh, take part in a karaoke, or perhaps just grab a beer!

The one and only Dub Shack will be keeping you loose and laid back with their soulful tunes all weekend, now incorporating a new and exciting Open & Loose Stage, anyone fancy a dance off?

The walk of love is where you will also find some playful fairground rides such as bouncy castles and trampolines (please be aware these are priced in addition to the ticket cost). You can do a little bit of shopping with traveling festival traders and enjoy the delights of the local food traders we are working with.

The Walled Garden

Our serene but not so green Walled Garden will be abundant in workshops and activities for you and your family to drop into throughout the day.

Join Shanti Bee Healing for movement, mindfulness, story times, and sound-based therapeutics workshops. Wellness studios from across the region have come together to create this wonderful offering. Activities will be family focused, so whatever the age you can all take part.

Throughout the evening, if you need a place to chill out and enjoy some soulful sounds, the Shanti team will look after you.

The Hold Tight Space is perfect for parents with tiny babies. You’ll be able to sing, change a nappy somewhere warm, join open parenting discussions and basically calm down in a safe and soft space.

Get active in our Dance Tent with activities by-day and a bit of extra stomp come for our evening offerings, with the popular BFLF offering and Silent Disco!

We welcome we fabulous Lets Circus to the festival this year – who bring an array of awesome circus-based performances, tricks, workshops, and interactivities!

You’ll also be able to grab yourself some yummy food, a cuppa chai, or a slice of cake in this fantabulous wellness and activities space.

Wildlings Our site is extremely beautiful, surrounded by nature. In between areas, we are lucky to have a forest walk, named the Wildings Area.

Local Forest schools and centres from the North East are collaborating to bring you and your family inspiring, educational and if you like, muddy workshops. You’ll be able to dig, play in a mud kitchen, make crown headdresses, and weave willow. You can learn to start a fire in a safe environment and will be able to touch a real-life dinosaur fossil!

Our VERY popular Den Zone will be back, where you can make yourself a home for the weekend.

Workshops will run all day across two Yurt Tents, and one open seated space in the Wildlings Area. There will also be experts’ crafters offering woodcraft and herbalist workshops

The Hive

The Hive fills up the longest field at the festival and hosts two awesome stages!

Across our Castle Bottom Stage and our Earthy Stage, you’ll be able to experience all-sorts. From all-encompassing theatre and circus shows, live Brazilian music, DJs, local bands, to the battle of Fairies Vs Superhero’s, these stages are where it’s at!

The Hive also hosts a cinema by day – Silent Disco by night because we know how popular silent discos are! Our very own Sounds Crafty Tent hosts workshops for all ages all day long. You’ll have the opportunity to craft a puppet, make your very own mask for our parade or perhaps you prefer to craft your own mermaid headdress.
We are exciting to welcome back Arts Ventures to this tent and to welcome Happy Crafts to the tent this year also!

In case that wasn’t enough we have co-ordinated an outdoor activities area where you can compete in all sorts of games as a family! The Hive will also be home to Fairground rides that might suit the slightly more daring siblings, tasty food offerings and a picnic area at the bank of the Castle Walls.

Our Den

The place of dreams, maybe a few bedtime tears too but that’s okay – we will all be in it together!

Let’s make it a clean and friendly site please, one in which you can chill out in and enjoy a campsite cuppa.
Did you know we have fairies!? Yes, do watch out for the little trixters – they have been known to make sure there is no naughty behaviour going on.

This is a family festival and so we ask no noise after 11pm please.

Please check our very useful Ts&Cs, for answers to other questions you might have.

Our Den is for our campers only – no vans will be permitted, they will be in the live in field.
